The Power of LinkedIn: How to Use LinkedIn To Make a Difference in Your MLM Business

How to Make Connections/What to Look For

 1)     Once you have the basics set up with your profile, then it’s time to start finding people!!  Go up to the contacts tab and “Add Connections”.  The first thing it will ask you, is if you want to use your email to see if there are any LinkedIn connections.  ONLY DO THIS if you want your WHOLE address book to be emailed.

Step #1: Click on the “Contacts “Tab at the top of the page

Step #2: Click on “Add Connections”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step #3: Type in your email address to search for friends that are already on LinkedIn!

 

 2)    Other Ways To Connect – There are a total of 4 ways to connect with people you know. I’ve listed them all in the image below:

 

 

3)    With option #4: People You May Know, you have more control over who gets asked to Link with you!  Look for people that you think may have some kind of an interest in your business.  Take a look at their profile and what they have been doing.  Have they been entrepreneurial?  Have they been in sales?  Is there something about their past few years that sets off a signal that they may be interested in your business opportunity?  Or is there something from your past that you remember about them that you think they may be interested?

 

4)    Start inviting connections!!  When you start the conversation, start with a re-introduction if you haven’t been in touch for a while.  Remind them how you knew each other and compliment them on some aspect that you remember from your past relationship.  Maybe they had a positive attitude or they were very successful in their job or they were great with people.  Re-connect first, then let them know what you are doing.
